As the coronavirus restrictions continue to ease we are welcoming back a number of our users, and some new users. Welcome Barry Athletic Coastal Rowing Club.
The current restrictions on organised meetings indoors limits numbers to 15 and requires social distancing to be observed and masks to be worn. This means that with these conditions, the changing rooms can be used and the teaching room is available but only with prior booking, at other times it will be kept locked. The permissible numbers will increase on May 17th but given the need for social distancing this will make little difference to what we are able to do. Children under 11 don’t count for these numbers but we would expect clubs to be monitoring the situation and their members.
The water situation is making progress, thanks to the assistance of Byron Colston of Grab It and Persimmon we have checked the water meter. We now need to see what has happened to the supply pipe running down the mole. Until this situation is remedied the toilets including the disabled toilet will remain locked and you will have to use the outside toilets. There is a barrel of fresh water and soap available for washing of hands. Please keep the soap under cover and secure, it’s surprising how attractive it is to the wildlife.
